Our portfolio company Allaway Oy expands in Sweden – acquires Cenva AB and Cevac AB
Known for its central vacuum systems and air quality solutions, Allaway Oy, owned by Stephen Industries Inc Oy, is strengthening its position in the Nordic countries by acquiring the Swedish companies Cenva AB and Cevac AB from their parent company, Smedjehagen Invest AB. Through this acquisition, Allaway gains a significant presence in the Swedish market.
” The acquisition strongly supports our strategic objective of international growth and strengthening of our market position, particularly in the Nordic region. Cenva and Cevac bring Allaway valuable expertise from industrial sectors, the hotel industry, and other sectors – areas where the demand is steadily growing as the importance of better indoor air solutions, occupational safety, and energy efficiency continues to increase”, says Kari Kakko, CEO of Allaway.
Cenva AB and Cevac AB are well known for their innovative solutions, particularly in the construction, process, and real estate sectors, as well as other demanding professional environments. Over the years, they have built a strong and established customer base both in Sweden and in international markets. The acquisition provides Allaway with a new platform for growth in the industrial segment and further strengthens its position as a provider of solutions tailored for professional use.
As part of the arrangement, Allaway will take over the production of Putzer Pro products for its sister company KP-Tekno Oy. This move enables more agile product development, more efficient manufacturing, and improved quality control. At the same time, it ensures that the company can respond to the needs of its international customer base quicker and more flexibly.
” We are confident that by combining the technical expertise of the Swedish companies with Allaway’s extensive experience in central vacuum systems and air quality management, we will create a truly unique centre of excellence. Expanding our in-house production will further strengthen our competitive advantage in a fast-evolving market”, states Kakko.
Cenva, Cevac and Allaway will continue to operate from their respective sites in Mariestad, Smedjebacken, and Jyväskylä. Moving forward, production, maintenance, and customer service will be developed in close cooperation, with the aim of delivering even higher-quality services for both new and existing customers.
“We are pleased that Cenva AB and Cevac AB are becoming part of the Finnish companies Allaway and Stephen Industries, who have a strong understanding of the industry. We believe that, through this acquisition, we can continue to grow and offer our customers even more innovative solutions”, says Anders Dahlberg, CEO of Smedjehagen Invest AB.
Stephen Industries is well known for its long-term investments in growth companies. The corporate group also includes the Finnish central vacuum system manufacturer KP-Tekno Oy.
