Stephen Industries donates €20,000 to the Finnish Cheerleading Federation
Stephen Industries Inc Oy supports Finnish elite sports and encourages young people to stay active by donating €20,000 to the Finnish Cheerleading Federation. The donation will be allocated to the federation’s national team operations, which play a key role in enabling Finland’s success in international cheerleading.
For Stephen Industries, it is important to contribute to the development of domestic elite sports and to encourage children and young people of all ages to stay active. The company wants to do its part in supporting the sports community in a situation where the Finnish Cheerleading Federation did not receive the funding it applied for from the Finnish Olympic Committee this year for its national team activities.
“We believe the sport provides young people with valuable skills, and we want to help ensure that Finnish cheerleading athletes continue to have the opportunity to pursue international success. The energy of the sport is empowering for both athletes and spectators. I have personally experienced several moments in the stands that have brought tears of joy to my eyes,” comments Kustaa Poutiainen, main owner of Stephen Industries Inc Oy.
The Finnish Cheerleading Federation, founded in 1995, is the national governing body for the sport in Finland. It promotes the position of cheerleading in Finland and represents the interests of athletes and others involved in the sport. The sport has grown significantly in recent years, and Finland is among the leading countries in international cheerleading.
